Q. What do I do if the server starts slowing down and/ or shuts down by itself?
   
A.

You have too much lint accumulation inside the server and need to vacuum underneath the processor fan. Best left to a professional unless you are confident in what you are doing. Do not remove the processor heat sink. There is thermal grease on the underside of the heat sink that you will need to replenish with new.

   
   
Q. What if there are no files on the Zip disk or DVD disk?
 
A. Make sure the backup is working.
   
   
Q. What if the Percon memory scanner is not working properly?
   
A. You can reset it by holding down the Enter and Alpha keys as you put in the batteries. Let go of the keys when you hear the beep. The scanner will now need to be reprogrammed.
   
   
Q. What if my screen is upside down?
   
A. There is a program installed on your server that allows Hot Key combinations that will do strange things to the screen. One of them is to flip the screen 180 degrees. Turn off the Intel Graphics program by going to the lower right hand corner of the screen and right clicking on the Intel Graphics icon and disable the hotkeys.
   
     
Q. What if I receive the error message “H32 connection timed out” while running a credit card pickup transaction?  
     
A. This means that the Internet connection was temporarily unavailable to send the credit authorization to the credit card company. You should be able to run it again shortly. If not call us for troubleshooting.  
     
     
Q. What if the wireless scanner is not working?  
     
A. This happens to the Bluetooth wireless scanners sometimes when they have lost their sync to the cradle. Unplug the scanner cradle, power cable, and data cable. Reconnect them and set the scanner in the cradle. It will then sync up again.  
     
     
Q. When I select the Retail Sales button from the CBS home page, I receive an error ending with “…..countersale.asp line 60.” What should I do?  
     
A. This happens if you have no over-the-counter items set up in your price list. Just add at least one item in a new price list in the Pricing Editor.
